  • I need more than 24 hrs/day.  I got up at 5:30a today and ran almost 11 miles.  I ran from my house in Apple Valley to my aunt's in Eagan and back.  That was probably the hilliest (or hilly-ist?) run ever.  I probably encountered about 7 hills one way.  But I did it and I'm sure the TC10 race will be much easier.

Went to work and surprisingly, my preceptor let me go early today.

And my favorite part of the day, I went to the Wild game tonight.  If you didn't know, I'm a huge Wild fan.  I got a fan pack for tonight's game-upper deck ticket, autograph session, hot dog, pop, ice cream...all of less than $40!  So I got my Wild jersey signed by two players tonight, and that wasn't even the highlight of my night.  I went with Jenn from HS and her boss was also at the game.  He has season tix, glass-side seats.  So he actually let us sit down there for the 2nd period.  That was awesome!!  The seat actually costs >$250/game...I wish I have that kind of money right now for season tix.  One day, one day...

Well, time to do more work.  I swear that's all I do-I work all day long, come home late at night and I still can't go to bed because I have all these tasks.

  • I got a haircut today.  Generally I'm happy with it, except the lady cut it a bit shorter than I wanted.  I've been growing my hair out for a while and I wanted a couple of inches off...well, it's a little bit shorter than that.  Oh well...although if I knew I was going to have a shorter haircut, I probably would've picked a different style.  At least my hair grows like a weed.  It'll be long again by February.

I just came back from The Local for Megan's birthday.  Geez, we're all getting old...quarter of a century now.

Anyways, I should get some work done.  I had this afternoon off from my rotation for "admin" time-except I did everything but that.  Got the car oil changed, came home and watched some TV, got the haircut, went to the apartment to pack some more, and then went to downtown.  Better get started!

  • I'm back!... after a 1.5 yr hiatus.  What has happened to Xanga?  I'm so confused by all of the different changes.  I'll stick to the blog section for now.

A lot has happened and the cliff's notes version:  I'm still in pharmacy school.  Anyways, moving on.  So this was a busy weekend.  It was weird that I saw so many people this weekend-people I went to high school with, people from a different high school, and people from pharmacy school.

Friday night was a going away party for Ross, a good high school friend.  We went to Perkins, a good ol' tradition for the group, and talked for hours.  We never made it out to the bowling alley, but I guess I was fine with it because I was exhausted from the week.  I do miss my HS friends a lot.  I can't believe it's already been 6 years since we graduated from HS.  Acks.

Saturday began with a yoga class.  I've been taking yoga almost every day for the past week at Corepower Yoga.  They offer a free trial week, so that's what I did.  I don't think I've ever sweated this much until I started yoga.  I took a Hot Yoga class on Thursday night, where they heat the room to >100 degrees.  I sweated like a leaky faucet.  So I thought it was just b/c of the heat.  On Saturday morning I took a different yoga class, and I still sweated like the niagara falls.  Actually, not quite since there was a guy in the class that looked like he just climbed out of a pool.  His pants were drenched by the end of the class and he was dripping sweat nonstop.  And I digressed.  Saturday evening I went to a wedding.  It was a friend from "high school" (we didn't go to the same high school, but I knew him from that era).  But it was still fun to see everyone there that went to EHS.  It was a beautiful wedding at the Arboretum in Chaska.  I think I like outdoor weddings more-churches are just too formal and stuffy.  The reception was great-the dinner was awesome, the party was fun, and they even had a photo booth!  Note to self-I'll have to reserve one for my wedding one day.  After the wedding I went to a birthday yoga party.  I was glad that the party was still on when I got there.  It's with a bunch of friends from pharmacy school.  So before I walked it I was trying to wrap myself with the sheet to make a toga.  I failed miserably, and I'm sure the couple of people that walked by the car were wondering what I was doing in the car.  We played Cranium for a while (it was a different version from the original), drank some margarita, chatted with people, and I was home by 3a.

And then today I took another yoga class, went to Cafe latte for lunch, and went to my apartment to pack and move my stuff back home.  And now I have to work on my research project and get some data plugged in and analyzed.  This might take a while, I have ~150 surveys to go through.

Well, it definitely feels different to blog again.  I'll have to come up with some interesting stuff to talk about.  For now, I'm off.

  • I just booked my spring break flight to Atlanta!  Ok, I'm not going there because I want to, but that's where the annual pharmacy meeting is.  Last year's was in San Fran and next year is in DC.  I don't know why they picked Atlanta for this year, but I'll make it fun.   Plus this year I get to represent Minnesota in the national patient counseling competition, so I'm excited about that.
